By creating a VoxHug account or using the service, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or have explicit guardian consent for use on behalf of a minor (e.g., a parent recording a bedtime story for a child). If you do not agree, do not use the service.
VoxHug is a voice cloning and audio creation platform. You can record a voice sample, generate a voice model via our text-to-speech provider, and produce stories, verses, calming scripts, communication scripts, social stories, routines, rituals, messages, and tributes using that voice. Output is intended for personal, family, and caregiving use.
You may only clone a voice you own (your own) or a voice for which you have explicit consent from the person whose voice it is. For minors or incapacitated persons, you need explicit consent from their legal guardian. Memorial voices (deceased loved ones) require consent from the legal next-of-kin. Cloning a voice without consent violates these terms and applicable law (impersonation, defamation, fraud). VoxHug may suspend accounts and report misuse to authorities.
Do not use VoxHug to impersonate someone for fraud, defamation, harassment, or political deception; create sexual or harmful content targeting minors; generate hate speech or threats; bypass voice authentication systems; or violate any law in your jurisdiction.
You retain ownership of voice samples you upload, generated audio, and content you create. You grant VoxHug a limited license to host, process, and deliver this content for the purpose of operating the service. We do not sell your content or train third-party AI on it. Voice clones live on ElevenLabs (our TTS provider) under their data processing agreement.
Paid plans are billed via Stripe. Plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan, which routes to Stripe's customer portal. See the Refunds policy for refund eligibility. Prices are in USD; your bank may apply currency conversion. Stripe handles VAT/sales tax where required.
Each plan has limits on creations per month, voices, and active branches. Limits are listed at /pricing and on your dashboard. Exceeding limits is blocked at submission. Upgrading is instant and prorated by Stripe.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Voice generation may be delayed during third-party provider outages (ElevenLabs, Anthropic). We are not liable for missed occasions caused by outages.
You may delete your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — especially the consent rule in Section 3 — without refund. After termination, your voice clones, audio, and personal data are deleted within 30 days.
VoxHug is provided "as is". We disclaim warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is capped at the amount you paid in the last 12 months. Use Memorial features with care — lifelike voice reproduction can be emotionally intense.
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the operating company's principal place of business. Disputes are resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law dictates otherwise.
